What is Car Air Conditioning?
Air conditioning isn’t a new concept as it dates back to the 1930’s, introduced by the Packard Motor company. Although it didn’t rise to popularity until the 1970’s in this period almost half of newly produced cars came with air conditioning. Aircon now comes as standard I’m practically all new cars and has become a feature that the majority of car owners have come to expect in a car.
Your car’s air conditioning was designed for use not only in the summer to keep you and your passengers cool, but for the rest of the year too to remove moisture from the interior and keep the windows mist free.
Car Air Conditioning Service Colchester
The gas used in your air conditioning system naturally leaks out over a period of time, especially if unused, and service or regas will ensure the system operates at its maximum efficiency.
The pollen filter, or microfilter, keeps pollen and nasty smells away from the interior of your car and when this becomes blocked with dirt it needs to be replaced.
