DCT GEARBOX SERVICE

We regularly carry out DCT gearbox servicing across the M-Power range of vehicles despite BMW’s oversight of leaving it off the routine maintenance schedule and calling it ‘Lifetime Fluid’, is this because they won’t see the cars later in their lifetime or is it more likely that they were looking to reduce the average maintenance cost for the brochure?

Either way, we recommend that your gearbox is serviced is carried out around 60,000 miles to keep it in good health.

Our DCT service includes draining the old DCT fluid, removing the old DCT sump and replacing with a new sump pan, sucking jet pump, suction filter & pressure filter. The gearbox will then be filled with premium DCT fluid followed by the important oil balancing service function procedure via the BMW ISTA software.
